Even though it is not within the remit of this study to explore all of the issues this subject unearths in detail, I believe that as in all enquirers of this nature, it is very difficult to separate one from the other and treat in complete isolation. When this is done it can be, at times, artificial and hinder a debate more than help it, as the full context is not explored as much as it could.

For this reason I have given a selection of brief summaries below, which I feel are still important issues when considering art education's relationship to students' approaches to projects.
